Asian Paradise Flycatcher: Terpsiphone paradisi

This beautiful will turn any one who sets his eyes on it into a birdwatcher. This bird is the epitome of beauty and grace. This male of the bird occurs in two color morphs both have prominent glossy black head and a crest, blue eye ring, blue-grey bill and two long tail streamers. The two color morphs are the white morph and other is the rufous morph. Intermediate birds showing rufous and white in plumage. The females and juvenile are rufous colored.

Found all through the BRT Tiger Reserve, it is predominantly found nesting in the Boodhipadaga area in early summer. It is also a regular visitor to the K-Gudi camp area.
